"Initial D" is originally a manga which has been serialized in Kodansha's Young Magazine since 1995. It talks about illegal street racing in Japan and uses 3D CG to show the most realistic racing scene. Animation, related merchandising products, video games and live-action movie have been all well-received in many countries.
Takumi Fujiwara was an 18-year-old boy who helped his father to run a tofu shop by making deliveries every morning to a hotel on Akina with his father's car. One day, on his way of delivery, Takumi unintentionally surpassed Keisuke Takahashi, who was the number two driver in Japanese prefecture of Gunma.
