Airou is a cat-like character generated from Japan top ranking digital game "Monster Hunter", which can understand human language, and assists the main character throughout the hunting process. The cute-type Airou PSP game was launched in August 2010, while the 2nd generation will be launched in Aug 10, 2011.

The flash animation (3mins x 10 episodes) was broadcasted in Youtube, MX TV in 2010. DVD and Blue-ray was also in place in Nov 2010. The new flash animation (3mins x 13 episodes) was just started on air from July 1, 2011.

The development of merchandises is quite a success, same as Monster Hunter, nearly 300 items being developed in Japan, with new items launched very month.
